To be a part of.
One of our most primary needs as humans.
To belong we must first find the parts of us that have been exiled. The parts of us we have exiled from ourselves.
The parts or whole of us that has been exiled by others.
Bring them all home to the heart. Love them tenderly.
Know that in our deepest desire to belong we are connected to the deepest desires of all of our fellow humans. Those who have been exiled by war, famine, economic and environmental cruelty. Usually at the hands of people who have been exiled by their own lives and families.
The antidote is not more exile. The antidote is embrace, love and creating spaces and places of belonging.
PS. I will be delivering a webinar next week, November 6th USA, 7th Aus, open to the public, convened by Common.is on how we need to build need models to make the existing ones obsolete. (My podcast interview the week is wth Common CEO, Mark Eckhardt.) It is free. If you care to read more about this, and sign up, you can do so here.
