How do we bow our heads in gratitude when our world feels broken?

Is there a place, in the depths of our fear and pain, to stand in gratitude for it all, exactly as it is?

To do this we must step back from what is and become the observer of the whole.

And in so doing we create a distance from the intensity of the pain.

When we invite gratitude to join us in this observation, the pain and fear shifts. Perhaps not fully, but enough to allow possibility to arise.

Cultivation of gratitude is exponentially more powerful when it feels very far away.
